Reviews of a Book-a-holic
For all the books, in all the world, how can a single person decide what to read? The question to haunt the ages... or to at least haunt the avid readers who have run through their TBR pile (if you have no idea what TBR means, you're probably on the wrong site) and the bored.
So what can one person do to help control the book population and steer you in the right direction? Well we can give our opinions and honest readings of the books that we have had at our disposal.
Now if you aren't turned off by the fact that I've just referred to myself in the third person... stick around for some fun.
The way this is going to work is this.
Major authors, authors who I have read extensively and have a very well developed opinion of, have their own pages off to the side under the menu. These pages are brief over views of the authors writing, what I think of it, as well as who might enjoy their writing styles. These pages will also include major series that the author has worked on and where a reader can go to learn more about them.
Reviews by a book to book basis will be done under the blog, Reviewers Ramblings. (Psst, that’s a link there.) Each blog will be dedicated to a single book, or whatever I decide to be writing about that day (oh no! I’ve gone mad with power!).
I'm working on getting a Forum started so that I can hear from you guys. I am really looking forward to this most of all, this means you guys won't have to get hold of me just through e-mail.
So pull up a chair, sip a cup of coffee or some soothing tea, and flip through the pages while you look for a book to catch your eye.
These are all my own opinions, so you don’t have to take everything I say as written in stone. Perhaps you'll decide to pick up a book that didn't get a very good review and show me what’s what! By all means, do that. Give an author a chance! These are their babies, and they all deserve someone to look over them. I just hope my reviews will help you decide what you might like to pick up when you’re out and looking for something to read.
Come by and read the reviews, see what is being said about an old book and a brand new release. Test the waters before you decide to buy, books are expensive and it is always nice to know what you're getting into before you lay down the cash.
Also, I am very open to suggestion. If you have a book that you would like to see reviewed, please feel free to contact me and I'll see what I can do.
Likewise, for aspiring authors out there, or authors looking to get someone putting their work out into the world, let me know and I'll see what I can do. Feel free to send me your work, or, if you can’t do that, just drop me a note asking me to get down to it!
I'm only one person, so getting around to the work might take a few days to a week, depending on traffic, but I'll get to it. That's our promise here.
